Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma called Rochas Okorocha his younger brother. Uzodinma said he has nothing against Okorocha, a former governor of the state.
Okorocha and Uzodinma have had a tense relationship since taking power.
Okorocha had previously accused Uzodinma of witch-hunting his family.
In December 2021, in Imo State, Okorocha's son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, was detained.
Okorocha reacted by accusing the Uzodinma-led government of the arrest.
The former governor and senator have nothing against Uzodinma.
Uzodinma addressed at a stakeholder forum in Owerri, the state capital.
In his own words, Uzodinma: “I have no personal grudge with anyone. Those of you who know me well in Imo state know I have tried to run for office.
“I won some. In certain circumstances, I lost. And when I didn't win, I went back to work. When I won, I gave my all to the people.
“Okorocha is my little brother. Because I am older than him, I am entitled to respect. I don't want to debate him.
“Let him know he is not the Governor and, God willing, let me be for the short time I am here.”
