Nwaduche Ekeneotutu, 49, was arrested for allegedly raping and impregnating a 15-year-old girl in Enugu-Ukwu, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State.
Rachel Yohanna, executive director of Davina Care Nonprofit, claimed the vigilante group presented the issue to the foundation.
The native doctor, a mother's acquaintance, was believed to be treating the girl for an Ogbanje ghost.
Yohanna stated the offender was apprehended on December 21 at the Nimo Police Station.
A three-month pregnant girl was transported to the Ntasi Centre for sexual assault cases at Enugu-Ukwu General Hospital.
“The Enugu-Ukwu vigilante gang said they spotted the girl was wandering aimlessly,” she said. They called her and she said her mother sent her away because she was pregnant. The girl said the native doctor abuses her and sleeps with her.
“During questioning, the victim's mother said she returned her to the man who impregnated her.
