In a letter to People magazine, Saget's family wrote, "We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob died away today." "To us, he was everything, and we want you to know how much he enjoyed performing live for his fans and bringing people from all walks of life together through laughing."
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Saget, dubbed "America's Dad" and one of the most recognizable faces on US television in the 1990s, was found lifeless in a hotel room on Sunday in Orlando, Florida.
The cause of death for the 65-year-old actor and comedian is still unknown, but the sheriff's office said there were no signs of foul play or drug use, according to The New York Times.
He tweeted about a stand-up show he did the night before at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall: "Tonight's show at @PV ConcertHall in Jacksonville was fantastic. The audience was appreciative. I had no idea I worked for two hours tonight. I'm gladly addicted to this nonsense once more."
