Selena Gomez has made a triumphant return to the stage

The songstress - also famed for her acting career - kicked off a new world tour at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Friday.
Called the Revival World Tour, the string of 75 concerts will be hitting cities such as Brooklyn, London, Paris and Milan over the next few months.
But Selena only had one chance to start things off with a bang - and she did just that when she sang in Sin City.

The singer just oozed confidence

The 23-year-old had clearly brought her a-game as she hit the stage in front of a roaring crowd.

She'd also brought along with her a sparkling catsuit, which seemed to pump her with confidence as she worked her magic with the microphone.

The crowd were treated to an amazing show

Selena had all the moves that you'd expect from a pop princess.
On more than one occasion the brunette beauty was spotted throwing some sexy shapes and showing off her killer body.

The star had to cancel her last tour

The last time Selena committed to so many dates was when she kicked off her Stars Dance Tour in 2013.

However on that occasion the singer had to cancel a string of shows, citing a need to 'spend time on myself' as the reason.

The singer is donating to charity

It was later revealed that Selena had been diagnosed with autoimmune disease lupus.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Selena will be donating proceeds from each ticket sold for her new tour to Alliance for Lupus Research.

The songstress looked sensational in a sparkling catsuit

Prior to opening the tour, Selena revealed she was nervous about getting the shows underway.

"It's the music that I created. It's the music that I wrote. That is my story to a T," she said in a video posted on Instagram.

The tour is hitting cities around the world

"Everybody's seen my journey so it's been exciting to actually celebrate it now and tour it and connect with people.

"I'm incredibly nervous but I think the past few rehearsal days there's been a really huge part that's missing to the show. And I know that that's the fans.

"So at this point I'm nervous but I'm eager and I'm excited that they're going to bring me to life. That's the biggest part that's missing."

She clearly had nothing to be nervous about

Obviously Selena had nothing to worry about because not only is she very talented but she's more popular than ever.
Earlier this week there was evidence of her continued popularity when she surpassed Kendall Jenner for the most-liked picture on Instagram.


The image - actually posted by Justin Bieber- featured Selena in a lip lock with her ex-boyfriend.
Even though it was only posted in March it's already on its way to racking up four million 'likes' on the social media platform.
