Speaking to ABC13, Beyonce’s mum touched on the controversial themes featured on the superstar’s latest release.
Miss Tina, as she likes to be known, said: "People make it all about the cheating and betrayal and, yes, that's a part of it because that is something you have to heal from.”
Tina did not say that the album was specifically about Beyonce and Jay Z, she did say that everyone can relate to it because they’re likely to have been “betrayed and lied to and it’s about the pain. And it’s about the healing process”.

She continued: “It's about how do you get past that and move on."
"I remember my first little pity party and I called them crying and you know, they all came," she said.
"We had a slumber party, we watched old movies all night and ate ice cream--it was very healing."
