Brooklyn Beckham risks getting three points on his provisional driving licence and a £60 penalty fine as he practiced driving in the central London sunshine this week with just ONE L plate on display.
The 17-year-old son of Brit football legend David Beckham, 41, and his wife Victoria, 42, failed to show an L plate on the front of the plush motor, although there was one on the back.
Brooklyn was snapped concentrating on the busy road behind the wheel of a new Mercedes C-Class, estimated to be worth around £37,000, on Tuesday afternoon with a male instructor.
According to GoCompare, it would cost an average of £5,326 to be insured on such a model at that age.

Nice little motor

According to the government’s Driver Vehicle’s and Standards Agency statutory guidance learner drivers who fail to display two correctly sized L plates at the front and back of their cars risk picking up six penalty points - three per missing L plate.

Gocompare.com car insurance spokesperson Matt Oliver told the Mirror that picking up points could lead to Brooklyn getting his license revoked.

He said: “By law, learner drivers are required to clearly display learner plates on both the front and rear of their vehicle and failing to do so can result in a LC20 offence which can carry a £60 fine and three points for each missing plate, which can result in serious consequences for new drivers.

“New drivers can have their licence revoked if they accumulate six or more points in the first two years of passing their test, which includes points gained under a provisional licence.
“If a driver racks up six points on a provisional licence, while they will still be able to pass their driving test, if they gain any more points in the two year period not only could their licence be revoked, but they will have to pay for a new provisional licence and pass both theory and practical parts of the driving test again.

On top of having to retake your driving test and all the associate costs that comes with it, a new driver having points or worse still, their licence revoked within their first years of being on the road can have a massive impact on both their ability to get insurance and the cost of cover.”
