Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to reveal his delight at being able to return to the steering wheel of his car after serving his ban.

The Chelsea playmaker was banned from driving for six months after he was caught speeding at 110mph on the A3 in Surrey, close to the west London club’s Cobham training ground, according to the Daily Mail.

Fabregas pleaded guilty to the charge of exceeding the 50mph speed limit back on 9 October and was banned from driving for six months.

However, the 28-year-old has now served his suspension and is free to return to the roads at the steering wheel from today onwards.

And the midfielder was clearly in a good mood on Sunday morning, as he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: "And i can start driving again today!!"

Fabregas played the full 90 minutes at Swansea on Saturday but was unable to prevent Chelsea from slipping to a 1-0 Premier League loss.
