Nicki Minaj is featured on the cover of the April edition of Nylon magzine

She showed off a huge diamond sparkler back in December leading many to think she was engaged to Meek Mill.

And Nicki Minaj admitted that even her rapper boyfriend mixes up their relationship status.

The 33-year-old looked gorgeous on the April cover of Nylon as she admitted in the magazine's pages that she has to remind the All Eyes On You hitmaker that he hasn't popped the question just yet.

'I'm not engaged yet': The 33-year-old rapper talked about how boyfriend Meek Mill - pictured together in January - sometimes calls her his 'fiancée' but they aren't engaged

Nicki recently revealed that Meek wants to give her three rings before they get married and since he has already given her two perhaps he's already comfortable with calling her 'fiancée' even if it is not official yet.

She said: 'I’m not engaged yet.… He said that my third ring would be my engagement ring. 

'But sometimes he calls me his fiancée, and I’m always trying to stop him, like, "Nope! I ain’t got that third ring yet!"'

The Starships hitmaker said that they are taking their relationship one step at a time but has already thought a few levels ahead as she is excited about the possibility of starting a family. 

Nicki said: 'If I get married, then I’ll have a child, and that’ll be fun, because I can’t wait to hold my baby.'

The secret to the success in their relationship seems to be that Meek embraces Nicki for who she is as she reminds him of someone near and dear to him.

Knockout: In another sexy photo, she wore a very revealing blue Mickey Mouse top with bedazzled American flag boxing gloves

She explained: 'When he and I were just friends, he would always say, "You remind me of my mother, and I like that because you’re like a dude. You’re tough like a guy and you talk like a dude."

Nicki said that she realised that being tough and bossy was a turn-on for the R.I.C.O. hitmaker and that just because she is in a relationship, doesn't mean she should lose her voice.

She continued:  'Being in a relationship should mean that you've met a secure-enough man to allow you, in a sense, to remain a queen.'

Nicki looked great on the front of the pop culture and fashion magazine as she sported a short platinum blonde bob wig with straight-across fringe along with a colourful top.

Wow factor: She showed off plenty of cleavage in a lacy black bra

In the magazine's pages she rocked a few other looks including a studded pink hoodie and black leather jacket.

She also wore a revealing cut-off Mickey Mouse vest over lacy black underwear as she posed with bedazzled American flag boxing gloves on her fists.

Nicki was very open in the accompanying interview as she also discussed casting for her new ABC family series Nicki, refusing to do a twerking scene in Barbershop: The Next Cut, her teen idols, feminism and working on her next album.
