One year later, photographer Jose Osmin Hernandez sued the Biebs claiming the incident "left him with severe emotional distress".
Duran's attorney, Steven Madison, confirmed the settlement to the paper but declined to comment further.
According to the reports: "The lawsuit says Bieber started to leave a Calabasas shopping plaza but instead got out of his car, ran toward Duran and delivered a flying kick to his gut before punching him in the face."
It isn't the first time the star has had to settle lawsuits after assault claims.
In April last year Justin settled a case from a Miami photographer Jeffrey Binion, who accused the star's bodyguards of attacking him during an incident in 2013, after he took a picture of the Canadian singer.
At the time Justin was also being sued by another Florida photographer, Manuel Muñoz, who alleged the singer's bodyguards chased him down a busy tourist street and beat him up after he took a picture of the young star leaving a nightclub in January 2014.
