Anything but a Bad Romance! Gaga and
Tony strolled into the room together, holding hands sweetly, their easy,
natural rapport evident to all
Love-fest: While their collaboration
on the album Cheek To Cheek may have come as a surprise to many, the
pair have a mutual admiration for one another, sharing a kiss on the
cheek as they arrived for the conference
Almost there... The pair sat patiently
as the popstar's dress was laid out perfectly so as not to get creased
or - even worse - trodden on
The
star walked hand-in-hand into the conference with Tony, the pair's
fondness for one another and easy, natural rapport visible to all as
they whispered closely and greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek.
The
legendary singer looked suave in a crisp black suit, white shirt, black
tie and matching dress shoes, accessorising with a contrasting red
pocket square.
Quite
the style chameleon, when she stepped out earlier in the day, Gaga -
real name Stefani Germanotta - was looking completely different.
Style chameleon: The singers sat in
front of a giant blown-up image of their album cover as they fielded
questions from the moderator - Gaga displaying her ever-evolving style
with her two polar opposite looks
A couple of pros! The Grammy-winners looked right at home as they got down to the nitty gritty
Thick as thieves: Gaga leaned in to
Tony to whisper in his ear several times, the 88-year-old giggling at
what she was saying, a smile on his face the whole time
Positively regal! The hitmaker oozed
elegance as she posed for photos in the brightly-coloured rich velvet
gown, which featured a plunging neckline and one-shoulder detail
She
was unusually demure in a black and gold patterned gown featuring long
sleeves and a low-cut neckline that still managed to be modest.
Perhaps
not the best ensemble to wear while walking her beloved dog Asia, she
nonetheless chose strappy black stilettos and was dripping in layered
gold chains, glitzy diamond bracelets and earrings.
Her
overall look was somewhat Geisha-like, with a sleek black bob wig with
blunt fringe and crazy winged eyeliner that went up into the sockets for
dramatic effect, paired with bronze lipstick.
Is it long enough?! A roughly
five-foot train trailed along behind her dress, which came off the
rosette shoulder detail, creating a dramatic effect as she made her way
up the stone staircase
Head-to-toe glamour: The star donned a
matching turban and finger gloves in the same vivid colour and
material, pulling her look together with strappy sapphire stilettos, her
face beautifully made up with dramatic smoky eyes and glossy red lips
Holding court: The pair sat like the
King and Queen on their thrones as they addressed the room full of
invited guests ahead of their performance later that evening
Dynamic duo! The couple took to the balcony of the stunning Town Hall to wave to fans gathered outside
The previous evening, upon arrival in Belgium, Gaga greeted her fans in true diva style.
Arriving
in Brussels ahead of her concert with Tony at the Grand Place the
following day, the songstress took to the balcony of her suite at the
luxurious and historic Steigenberger Grandhotel.
Perching
on the ornate black metal railing, she smiled from ear to ear as she
looked down at the crowd that had gathered below, smiling and blowing
kisses, clearly in her element.
Ever-evolving: Earlier in the day,
Gaga stepped out to walk her beloved dog Asia with her hair and make-up
styled like a Geisha, a sleek black bob wig with blunt fringe framing
her face, which was made up with striking winged eyeliner that went up
into the sockets
Not your usual dog-walking outfit! She
opted for a black and gold patterned long-sleeved gown with low-cut
neckline, strappy black stilettos and tons of jewels as she emerged from
her lavish hotel
Everyone wants a piece of her! Mother
Monster was greeted warmly by her adoring fans, who presented her with
roses as she stopped to take photos and sign autographs for them
It
wasn't clear if the 28-year-old had got dressed up or perhaps more
likely undressed for the appearance, clad in a shimmery pearl-coloured
silk slip that could have easily been a nightdress.
She wore a lacy sheer three-quarter-sleeve bolero in the same hue over the top, which one again looked rather negligee-like.
The
quirky star was once more wearing her new favourite huge dark brown
afro wig, which positively dwarfed the petite songstress.
In her element! Lady Gaga took to the
balcony of the Steigenberger Grandhotel in Brussels on Sunday night as
she greeted her adoring public in true diva style upon arrival in the
city
Wigging out! The 28-year-old's petite
frame was positively dwarfed by her favourite huge dark brown afro wig,
while her bronze make-up was a little heavy-handed
Balancing act: The singer carefully
perched on the edge of the ornate black metal railing, dressed in a
pearl-coloured silk slip that could well have been a nightdress, worn
with a negligee-like sheer lacy bolero
Her
make-up was perfectly applied, with a heavy covering of bronze
cosmetics, including metallic eye shadow and glossy deep brown lips.
A
red manicure added a much-needed pop of colour, visible when she did
her famous 'monster claw' hand gesture in recognition of her fans.
With
Gaga and famed jazz crooner Tony Bennett having teamed up for the album
Cheek To Cheek, the Paparazzi hitmaker was flanked by a camera crew as
she took to the balcony, who captured her antics presumably for an
accompanying documentary.
You've got to hand it to her... Mother
Monster first greeted her Little Monsters with just one outstretched
hand, which was in a claw shape in recognition of her fans
Sealed with a kiss: The quirky star
blew kisses to the masses, who had gathered outside the luxurious and
historic hotel to get a glimpse of the icon
Hope you're not afraid of heights! The songstress was quite high up as she looked down to the street below
While
her long-time love, actor Taylor Kinney, wasn't able to join her on the
trip, the singer's parents, Cindy and Joe Germanotta, did make the
trek.
The
couple were seen walking hand-in-hand from the hotel, with several
burly bodyguards ensuring they weren't swarmed by their daughter's
devoted Little Monsters.
Also
paying a visit to the hotel was Tony himself, who looked dapper in a
classic charcoal pinstripe suit as he took the time to sign autographs
before making his way inside.
Caught on camera: Gaga was being
filmed by a camera crew as she lapped up the attention out on the
balcony, presumably for a documentary to accompany her Cheek To Cheek
concert with Tony Bennett
Better get some shut-eye: The star
arrived in Belgium ahead of her highly-anticipated performance with the
jazz crooner the following evening
An unexpected collaboration: The
five-time Grammy-winning popstar and the 88-year-old 17-time
Grammy-winner surprised everyone by teaming up for the jazz album, which
was released on September 19
Come Monday, the 88-year-old gave a sneak peek of the venue ahead of taking to the stage to perform with Gaga.
'Tonight
in Brussels we celebrate #CheekToCheek. @ladygaga,' the 17-time
Grammy-winner wrote along with a snap shot of the covered stage which
had been set up in front of the stunning architecture of Brussels'
central square.
A second image showed the band performing a soundcheck just hours before the concert extravaganza got underway.
