She's
formerly one of the world's top models, walking the runway for
Victoria's Secret for eight years before giving it all up to mentor
aspiring young models on her reality competition America's Next
Top Model.
Top Model.
While statuesque 5ft 10in beauty Tyra Banks' weight has fluctuated over the years - even taking
a public stand on her talk show against body bullies who called her overweight - she was looking
a million dollars as she made an appearance on TV show Extra on Wednesday.
a public stand on her talk show against body bullies who called her overweight - she was looking
a million dollars as she made an appearance on TV show Extra on Wednesday.
Taking
to the outdoor stage at Universal Studios Hollywood, the star towered
over host Mario Lopez, a pair of sky-high strappy black stilettos adding
to her already impressive height.
Dressed to thrill! Tyra Banks proved she's still
got it as she took to the stage at Universal Studios Hollywood for an
appearance on Extra on Wednesday, flashing the flesh in a midriff-baring
outfit
But
it was her choice of outfit that got people talking, with the
40-year-old proving she's as body-confident today as she was in her 20s
as she flashed her toned midriff in a fashionable ensemble.
She
paired a tight grey midi-length ribbed pencil skirt with a fitted black
T-shirt featuring a grey design across the bust, pushed up to show off
her trim midsection.
Tyra
looked a little stiff at first, seemingly sucking in her stomach as she
tugged on the waist of her skirt a little self-consciously, before
relaxing.
She
added some bling to her outfit with a sparkly silver jewelled cuff on
one wrist, a silver chain that wrapped around her neck several times and
a collection of pretty rings on her fingers.
Fabulous at 40! The star, who turns 41 in
December, appeared a little tentative at first in her tight grey ribbed
pencil skirt and fitted black T-shirt featuring a grey design, which she
paired with towering strappy black heels
In her element: She soon relaxed once joined on
stage by host Mario Lopez, with the pair enjoying a laugh as they talked
about the 21st cycle of her hit show America's Next Top Model, which
premiered on Monday night
Her
face was beautifully made up for the TV appearance, her complexion
flawless and golden, a soft apricot hue on her cheeks, glossy bubblegum
pink accentuating her naturally full pout and dark smoky eyes and
lashings of mascara bringing out out her piercing eyes.
She wore her long brown tresses down in a voluminous style, the ends flicked up.
The
star, who coined the term 'smize', taught the dimple-cheeked host how
to work the camera as they posed for a selfie together during the
interview.
Posting
the results to Instagram shortly after, the former Saved By The Bell
actor captioned it: 'Started my morning with a fierce selfie with my
girl @tyrabanks ! #Smize #ToochAndBooch #ANTM.'
Baby got back! The star turned around to reveal her curvaceous behind as she taught Mario the art of taking the perfect selfie

Tyra had plenty to smile about, with cycle 21 of her hit series kicking off on The CW on Monday
night, featuring both girls and guys duking it out for the title for only the second time in the show's long history.

Taking
to Twitter on Tuesday, she proudly informed her 11.4 million followers:
'"TyTy, Good Ass Ratings!!!" The report I received this morn about
#ANTMCycle21 premiere episode ratings! Yay!!! Thx so much!!!'
Clearly
in a celebratory mood, she headed out for dinner with friends later
that evening, spotted leaving West Hollywood hot spot Gracias Madre.
She
was dressed rather casually for the outing, in knee-length grey shorts
and a white T-shirt, paired with a bulky camouflage denim jacket that
was rolled up at the sleeves and had 'Banks' written above the breast
pocket.
