A 45-year-old woman described how she fled her marital home after witnessing a strange and horrifying ritual involving a snake.
The woman, who went by the name Juliet Murwira, claimed to H-Metro that her husband had used her in a snake-related ritual to increase the success of his company, Ngoshi Transport. She mentioned that her spouse has more than 50 children and several brides.
The woman from Zimbabwe said:
"Mungoshi, the proprietor of Ngoshi Transport, has been taking advantage of me for years in order to profit. He needs to sleep with several women for the juju he uses, and I need to sleep with his snake. I escaped because I could no longer stand the suffering.
"I don't know why he keeps looking for me and accusing me of eloping with another man," I said after leaving him two years ago.
In response to the accusations, Mungoshi questioned why she kept quiet for more than 20 years if these ceremonies had been taking place all along.
He stated:
"I've been married to Juliet for more than 20 years; how come she didn't tell anyone over that time that she had been having snake sexual encounters? She's merely attempting to hide the fact that she had been sleeping with British-based Richmore Matambanadzo.
I don't say this because I want Juliet to pay for what she did to me, but I do want the world to know.
According to the article, Kennedy Mungoshi was shocked to discover Juliet had vanished and had learned of her departure from neighborhood rumors.
