Wayne Rooney has stated that he would like the opportunity to manage Manchester United. The Englishman, who spent 13 years at Manchester United, is now the manager of Derby County.
When Ralf Rangnick's interim term ends in the summer, United will be seeking for a new manager.
And Rooney has expressed interest in the job.
"Of course I would," Rooney stated when asked by Sky Sports if he would jump at the chance to manage United. My immediate concentration is on Derby County and keeping them in the Championship, although Manchester United and Everton are two clubs that I follow closely.
"Perhaps one day I'll be able to manage one of those two clubs." It would be a huge accomplishment for me."
