Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been given till February 16 to challenge the competence of the terrorist charges brought against him by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
After the Federal Government requested that the trial be opened, the Judge set the date.
Kanu is requesting that the court discharge and acquit him without having to face a trial for the horrific act because the charges are fatally flawed and have no legal footing.
He has been sent to the Department of State Services (DSS) detention facility until the issue of his plea for bail is determined.
