Riyad Mahrez secretly married model Taylor Ward.They wore white for a Muslim ceremony called the Nikah, when they signed a contract rendering them legally married.
During the service, the couple said "qubool", which means "I accept".
Insiders say Riyad, 30, and Taylor, 23, will have a second ceremony to make their union official in the UK.
Added a source: "Riyad and Taylor were formally married late last year under Islamic law.
"His religion's customs were significant to them as a couple.
"The ceremony was short but sweet, and it set them up for their second wedding, which will be the primary celebration. Taylor and Riyad are overjoyed and in love."
After 16 months of dating, the couple got engaged in June last year, The Sun said.
Riyad proposed with a £400,000 ring in Mykonos, Greece, with Taylor's parents, Dawn, 47, and Ashley, 51.
Riyad proposed after lunch with close friends.
Last year, Riyad and Taylor acquired a £2m Cheshire home.
He was previously married to Rita Johal, 29, for six years.
In February 2020, The Sun reported that Riyad had divorced her.
