The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) says that prohibiting the singing of the National Anthem and the movement of livestock to the south-east constitutes a declaration of war.
The ACF's National Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Yawe, was commenting on the Amalgamated Union of Food and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria's plan to limit food transit from the north to the south-east.
The ACF stated that as Nigeria was not at war, all well-meaning Nigerians should bring the Biafra agitators to order.
Yawe noted that the forum will have difficulty appealing to the union this time.
He defended the AUF&C Dealers' anxiety and concern about the IPOB's threat.
“We have appealed to this union before when their members were attacked, some dead, and their property destroyed without their fault,” he said.
Yawe said they put up a roadblock and prevented food supplies to the East, but after the ACF made requests, they withdrew the blockage.
“The union's concerns and anxieties are valid. Someone should summon IPOB. We are one nation and not at war. “Their statements are a declaration of war,” he remarked.
