They planned to frame him using prostitutes after his disagreement with the Catholic Diocese of Enugu in May last year, said Father Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry Enugu.
Mbaka stated the plan was to kidnap him, drag him around Enugu's prostitution district, and record him naked.
He said they planned to carry out the plot after he met with Enugu's Catholic Bishop, Callistus Onaga.
Mbaka reported how Onaga told him to stop his Adoration ministry in Enugu for a month and go on a retreat.
The Bishop warned him not to get involved in politics.
He said he followed the Bishop's order, but the Holy Spirit told him not to park “anywhere”.
He says he had no idea he was being followed that night. You started looking for me the next day.
“Their objective was to capture me that night, transport me to Cubana (Hotel), take me to Mobil (where prostitutes stay), show me film of me in the brothel, and ask what Mbaka was looking for.
“Then they would drag me to Igboeze, another Prostitute hotspot. Not me, but they planned to strip there. Then people would inquire why I was naked in a prostitute's place. Then they would take me to Abuja and kill themselves, not me.”
