A former Eskom employee and a businessman's assets worth R11 million have been seized by the Hawks and the Asset Forfeiture Unit.Mosia Moraka, a former Eskom finance controller, and Victor Tshabalala, of Meagra Transportation, created a scheme in which bogus bills were submitted for work that had not been completed.


Eskom was left with an R35 million loss.

In Mpumalanga, Tshabalala's business is claimed to have transported coal for Eskom.

In September, the couple was found guilty of fraud at the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.

On Tuesday, their assets were seized, including residences and 32 vehicles registered to Meagra Transportation.
