TV's toughest judge Simon Cowell showed his softer side as he doted over adorable son Eric

The music mogul, known for his harsh comments, proved he's just a big softie when it comes to his little lad as he interacted with him backstage at America's Got Talent.
Simon, 56, is seen playing with a Mr Potato Head toy in scenes from this week's episode of the show, before feeding little Eric some raisins.

His dark hair is swept over to one side and a cute little pair of white trainers completes his look.
Matching his little boy perfectly, Simon also wears a pair of light jeans and a white T.
Speaking to People magazine, Simon recently described his only child as his "right-hand man."
He gushed: "He's the world's cutest little boy. I've got to tell you, he's going to be my little right hand man. Anything he likes I like.

Eric is Simon's 'right-hand man'

"He's brilliant. He comes down to the auditions and really enjoys the acts. He's very good to watch funnily enough, because I can see when he's bored and when he's up dancing."
Eric is becoming a little star in his own right and Sharon Osbourne admitted she was thrilled about meeting the littlest Cowell as she confirmed she was returning to the X Factor judging panel alongside Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger.

"I’m overjoyed about going back to The X Factor , sitting with Lou Lou, gorgeous Nicole and naughty Simon," she said.
"But most of all, I can’t wait to meet baby Eric.”
