Following Sunday's defeat in the Copa America final to Chile, Gerardo Martino's position as head coach has subject to speculation, although the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has confirmed that he will lead the Under-23 team through the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August.
But when asked what he thought about the rumours linking Simeone to Argentina, Enrique Cerezo replied: "I said no to the AFA, they can do what they want."
