The 32-year-old model was on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday promoting her new VH1 sex-based talk show when she admitted that she twerks to amuse and even calm down three-year-old Sebastian.
Amber, showing off her famous curves in a tight black dress, revealed that her mother Dorothy 'loves when I twerk' and first encouraged her to 'do your little booty shaking thing' in front of family.
'So now I twerk for him all the time, he loves it. It's like our bonding moment.'
Seth, puzzled by the story, then jokingly asked if she would twerk for her son if he was on a plane and crying.
'I just bend over and shake my ass and then that's it - he's happy again,' she said of her son with ex Wiz Khalifa.
Amber also spoke about her new MuvaMoji phone emojis, with Seth teasing her about the different sized eggplants available, with her smiling: 'Eggplants come in all different shapes and sizes, so I wanted to accommodate everyone.'
But she had no shame with her Bill Cosby emoji - in which he holds a sign saying 'I did it' - telling Seth: 'Because he did it! Fifty-two women ain't lying.'
She said that her The Amber Rose Show that starts on Friday on VH1 will be 'very sex positive' and 'a no judgment zone' that allows her to show her 'extremist feminist' side.
She also promised a fresh take on celebrity interviews because 'I kind of live in that world, so I just bring a different perspective and opinion of it.'
When Seth joked that it was a 'strange pairing' that she is working with Dr Phil on the show, she insisted: 'We're both in the business of helping people, we just do it in different ways.'
And she then did a spot-on impression of the famed TV doctor as she recalled how he reassured her their show would work out fine.
Y'know, most talk show hosts get canceled the first season, so I was talking to Doc - I call him Doc - and I was like, ''Doc I'm scared I'm going to get canceled it's embarrassing''.'
'And he was like, ''Baby, with me you ain't ever getting canceled.''
Pretending to give a fist bump, Amber said: 'I was like, ''My man, alright! We got a hit show already!''
The star, who had to adjust her outfit through fear that her Spanx were showing, also insisted she loves being on worst dressed lists because 'I don't like to conform to society norms.'
'I have a simple black dress on but usually - don't give a s***,' she insisted proudly.
Seth showed a few images of some of her most extreme looks, ending with the matching outfits that she and Blac Chyna both wore to the VMAs graffitied with derogatory words.
'This one is probably my favourite because that is what my mother wore to my wedding,' Seth quipped.
