Usain Bolt has re-iterated his desire to play for Manchester United, but not under Louis van Gaal

Usain Bolt has once again set his sights on playing in the Premier League for Manchester United, but the fastest man on earth would not want to work under Louis van Gaal.

Bolt, a life-long United fan, has long expressed the belief that after he retires from athletics he would be good enough to play top flight football.

But the 29-year-old sprinter is an outspoken critic of the current Old Trafford boss, and played down his chances of joining while Van Gaal is in charge.
'I supported Manchester United for years,' said the six-time Olympic gold medalist.

'I would still love to play for them, but if Louis Van Gaal is the coach, not so much.'
The United boss has an uncertain future at the club after a disappointing season in the Premier League

The comments follow Bolt's criticism of Van Gaal on Norwegian TV last week, when he claimed the players are not committed to their manager.

United are struggling to make the top four, needing Manchester City to lose on the final day to have any chance of making the Champions League.
Bolt says he doesn't believe the United players want to play under Van Gaal, and criticised his tactics
United's Champions League hopes are no longer in their own hands after defeat to West Ham in midweek

It has been up and down,' admitted Bolt. 'I wouldn't say I'm happy. I think a lot of players don't want to come to the team under Van Gaal. I think players don't want to play for him.

'He plays a different style of football which Manchester United doesn't really play. We are more of an attacking team and he likes to pass the ball.

'I'm not saying he's not a good coach but, personally, I just think he's not right for Manchester United.
