But less than a decade ago she was making strides with a music career - even making it to boot camp on X Factor .
The actress - once again single after splitting from Jeremy McConnell - was reminded of her success when a fan alerted her to a throwback snap on Wednesday.
It featured Stephanie alongside Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh when she was a fresh-faced 14-year-old.

The fresh-faced teen was all smiles

Steph appeared on the talent show in the small gap when contestants could apply from as young as 14.

This rule only lasted for two seasons before being raised to 16 again in 2009.

The fan who posted the picture asked Stephanie: "@Stephdavis77 cute photo of you, think you were about 14?"

To which she replied: "Haha yes youngest ever to get to boot camp was too young and a baby haha."

The brunette is now blonde

Even though Stephanie didn't win the singing contest, she would eventually make her mark after appearing on Andrew Lloyd Webber's Over the Rainbow in 2011.
Shortly after that show she would be cast as Sinead O'Connor on Hollyoaks - a role she would keep until being given the axe in 2015.

Over the weekend Stephanie hinted at pursuing a music career again when she reminisced about one of her old songs .
The blonde explained that she likes writing tracks to 'relate to people' while directing fans to some of her other songs.

Earlier this year it was reported that Stephanie was using Celebrity Big Brother as a stepping stone to launch a pop career .
The 23-year-old even put her vocal talents on display in the house when she performed Valerie by Amy Winehouse to her fellow celebs.

However Stephanie appeared to lose focus when she left the show and began dating Jeremy.

Between breaking up and making up, it's believed the former soap star has turned down several lucrative opportunities.

The couple split last week

"She's been following Jez around the country like a lovesick puppy and now she's been left with nothing. It was all a waste of time," a source recently told Mirror Celeb.

The insider added: "It's a shame because she's very talented, and has more to offer than a lot of the reality stars, but her meltdowns on social media and her constant love life drama has become the main focus.

They've had their ups and downs

"It's all played out in public, even people who voted for her on Celebrity Big Brother have become bored of her.
"She could have followed in the footsteps of Geordie Shore stars and landed her own book deal or been the face of a number of campaigns, but she's not a good role model at the moment."
