The pop singer, who’s been dating the actor for several months, had fans waiting for days for her response - but it looks like we had it all wrong.
Katy tweeted a link to Peggy Lee's 1969 hit song Is That All There Is?, leading many to pour over the lyrics and conclude that, unsurprisingly, she really wasn't a happy bunny.
But the Roar star has now returned to Twitter to clear up the speculation - and defend her boyfriend.
Alongside it Katy tweeted a link to a story about Orlando’s recent charitable work with UNICEF.
And hours after she posted her tweet, Selena Gomez also retweeted it.
Katy's response comes days after the very cosy-looking pictures of her boyfriend and Selena in Las Vegas surfaced.
In a string of snaps from their night out, the stars looked totally enamoured with each other as they sat apart from their friends.
And just yesterday a video emerged of them leaving the hotel together , though sources insist they were with a group of friends all grabbing a bite to eat together at the end of the night.
At the time Orlando flat out denied any kind of romantic relationship with Selena, who he appeared alongside at a string of WE Day events that Summer.
After they were spotted jetting to Canada together, Orlando said: “Nah man, we were just attending WE Day.”
This was shortly after Orlando had thrown a punch at Selena's ex Justin during a fight in Ibiza , apparently started over the Sorry star's rumoured fling with his estranged wife Miranda Kerr.
