The Kardashian clan was apparently blindsided by Rob Kardashian's engagement to Blac Chyna.
But
one person is not keeping quiet - Chyna's ex and father of her child
Tyga. The rapper, who is dating Kylie Jenner, broke his silence on
Tuesday with a series of gracious tweets.
The
26-year-old said he was happy to see the mother of his son finally find
happiness, even if it is with the older brother of his current
girlfriend.

Tyga
appeared to be respond fans Twitter who were speculating about the
Kardashians' tangled family tree with the engagement announcement.
One Twitter user wrote: 'King Cairo trying to figure out if he gonna call Blac Chyna "Auntie Mama" or "Mama Auntie".'
Tyga
wrote, in apparent response to the topic: 'Everybody deserves 2 be
happy. What some1 does for their happiness is not my concern, as long as
it's not interfering wit my happiness.'
Telling the world: Rob and Chyna did
not wait to tell their family the good news before broadcasting it
online on Tuesday morning
The 26-year-old said he was happy to
see the mother of his son finally find happiness, even if it is with the
older brother of his current girlfriend
'It
makes me happy to see the mother of my son happy,' he added before
going on to defend his three-year-old son, 'My only concern in this
situation is my son. I want him in happy environments.'
'He's
innocent in this. & I want him to feel as much love as possible.
Only an evil heart would direct negativity at a child & make fun of
him for being in a situation that is out of his control.'
'When
u been blessed how I've been, & create some1 u love unconditional,
u'll understand how I feel. Ull want to protect that blessing.'
Loved up: Kylie and Tyga are inseparable in their social media feeds
'Cherish yo own blessings and stop hating mine,' he concluded.
Tyga and Blac dated from 2011 to 2014 and have a son together. Tyga only confirmed his relationship with Kylie last year.
While Rob and Chyna were revealed to be dating only this year.
Meanwhile,
Chyna recently shared her excitement about the chance to bear her new
fiance's famous last name - announcing plans to become a Kardashian upon
marriage.
'She's
soon to be Angela Kardashian. She's ecstatic,' a representative for the
model told People magazine, referring to Blac Chyna's birth name of
Angela White.
Tyga and Blac dated from 2011 to 2014
and have a son together (see here in 2014); Tyga only confirmed his
relationship with Kylie last year
'She was more than excited, she was thrilled, just super happy,' added the spokesperson.
But while the newly engaged couple celebrate, there has been a pointed lack of comment from his extended family.
And that may have something to do with the revelation that Rob 'blindsided' the Kardashians with the news.
Indeed, sources tell TMZ that
the 29-year-old 'went to great lengths' to ensure his proposal was a
shock to his family, calling his actions 'aggressively' on the quiet.
Snow joke! The rest of the Kardashian
family - currently in Vail, Colorado filming Keeping Up With The
Kardashians - have yet to comment on news of Rob's engagement
And a source told People magazine:
"No one [in his family] is jumping up and down with excitement today.
They have made a united decision as a family to not comment on social
media yet about Rob's engagement. The news is not shocking, and not
totally unexpected.'
And the source added that while the relationship had been 'good' for Rob, his family felt it was too soon for marriage.
'There
has been a fear that Blac Chyna is manipulating the situation with Rob.
That he is getting himself into a situation that is not ideal for him.
Blac Chyna has been great as kind of a rebound. As someone that got Rob
out of a dark place, that helped him get motivated and healthy again.
Let's just be honest, no one is really hoping for a marriage to happen.'
Not that Rob and Chyna seem to be hanging on for any formal response from his siblings.
Instead,
as Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and Kris go skiing with their
children and assorted hangers on in Vail, Rob and Chyna are delighting
in their good fortune.
Just
after midnight on Tuesday, Blac Chyna shared a snap of the sparkler on
Instagram, simply captioning the image with the word: 'YES!' in capital
letters, before they headed to the Ace Of Diamonds strip club in Los
Angeles.
Rob
popped the question on Monday evening and they toasted the news at the
club, just as the rest of the Kardashian family flew out on holiday.
The ring itself is a seven carat, round brilliant cut diamond in an eternity band setting from celebrity jeweller Ben Baller.
