The documentary series – which charts Caitlyn ’s transition to become a woman – won the Outstanding Reality Show award at the prestigious ceremony, tying with TLC’s I Am Jazz.
Cait’s show has highlighted LGBT issues and follows her journey into the world as a transgender woman, including the moment she accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs in 2015, and the process of legally changing her name.
She also hugged Jazz Jennings, the transgender star of I Am Jazz.
Other attendees on the night included Demi Lovato – who was honoured for her backing of the LGBT community – as well as Orange Is The New Black star Ruby Rose, Lea Michele and Taylor Swift .
"Nine months into this and I'm still learning who I am."
And through making her show 'I Am Cait', the reality star said she has learned how "difficult" it can be for trans people to date.
Confirming she is still single the 66-year-old - who was previously married to Kris Jenner - said the only person she plans to date is herself.
The former Olympian said she is currently more focused on learning more about her own new identity than getting romantically involved with someone new.
