She seemed to be calling out her cheating husband in her surprise new album Lemonade that debuted last weekend.
And after days of public speculation about who she's referring to as 'Becky with the good hair' in the track Sorry, Beyonce did a 180-degree turn to profess her devotion to rap mogul Jay Z on Wednesday night in Miami.
The pop superstar closed out the first concert in her Formation World Tour by dedicating her power ballad Halo 'to my beautiful husband... I love you so much.'
Happily wed: And just in case anyone
thought she and husband Jay Z were having marriages troubles after she
alluded to his cheating in her new album Lemonade, fans reported she
professed her love for him on stage
Jay Z was, according to fan reports, sitting front and center at the gig at Marlins Park Stadium.
His
presence and her dedication would seem to suggest that any hints of
trouble in their eight-year marriage were simply a terrific marketing
ploy for the new album said to be about black female empowerment.
In fact,
the Tidal boss' alleged infidelity has dominated the news cycle ever
since the video for Sorry aired on HBO on Saturday as part of the visual
album release.
Big night: Beyonce shared a black and white video on Instagram just before the curtain went up at Marlins Park Stadium
Bootylicious: The sultry superstar
donned devilish red and showed off all her curves in the wet-look,
skintight body suit and matching thigh-high boots
Racy moves:
The 34-year-old didn't hold back as she opened with Formation and ran
though a string of songs including Rocket, Drunk In Love and Single
Ladies
She's live! Excited fans took to
social media to share photos from Beyonce's first Formation World Tour
concert and the superstar didn't disappoint
In it, the singer is seen wielding a baseball bat and raging at her man's cheating as the city goes up in flames behind her.
Then,
the 34-year-old singer made Lemonade available afterward only on the
Tidal subscription streaming service owned by her 46-year-old rapper
husband.
Now, four days later, as the media hype begins to subside, she's released it on streaming service Pandora.
Spectacle: Throughout the show, her
image was projected onto enormous screens behind her so that she
literally towered over the thousands of people in the stadium
Bevy of beauties: As usual, Queen Bey
was accompanied by some equally striking-looking dancers as she rocked
through her high-energy set list
She's the queen: There was no doubting who was the center of attention
Look at me! The pop star clearly wanted to communicate an iconic image at the start of her world tour
Clearly
there's no split in the couple's marriage as Jay Z was seen
accompanying his wife as she rehearsed ahead of Wednesday's concert.
He also looked relaxed as he greeted pals Rick Ross and DJ Khaled backstage.
Excited
Queen Bey fans shared photos from the show on their social media
accounts and gave blow by blow commentary on her performance.
In control: Beyonce's husband Jay Z
was on hand to make sure rehearsals went smoothly and to meet and greet
some celebrity guests including Rick Ross
It's cool: The Tidal mogul was seen
chatting with DJ Khaled backstage and was clearly unfazed by the public
dissection of his marriage over the past four days following the release
of his wife's new album Lemonade
Superstar: Beyonce sang her heart out during the two-hour gig and the fans loved it
Adoration: The star seemed to be
giving fans exactly what they wanted, as they reached out to try and
touch her and take photos on their smart phones
