Police say that after someone shot Montgomery, the second man ran upstairs to help him. A third man who was in the home saw the second man carrying a gun and shot that man because he feared for his safety.
There is no suspect in the shootings, according to TMZ.
Robbie told TMZ that the home where Montgomery was shot has a recording studio, where he was recording a rap.
She said that she was told that her grandson received a phone call during the session and was told to meet someone outside.
When he went outside, he was shot, Robbie said.

She added that there is a lead in the case because someone used a key to enter Montgomery’s hotel room on Tuesday morning. His belongings were missing from the room following the incident, Miss Robbie said, adding that the person who went into the room was captured on surveillance footage.
Montgomery frequently appeared on Welcome to Sweetie Pie's with his family members. At his high school graduation in 2013, Miss Robbie is seen beaming with pride during an episode of the show.
OWN President Sheri Salata on Tuesday expressed the network's condolences to Montgomery's family.
‘Our hearts are with Miss Robbie, Andre's Uncle Tim Norman and the rest of the Sweetie Pie's family,’ another representative for the network told TMZ.
