It appears
her stint as an adviser to team Christina Aguilera has been going so
well, she's been bumped up to judge for season 11.
And Miley Cyrus announced she's landed the coveted seat on the judging panel left vacant by the departing Gwen Stefani.
The
pop star will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton when the show returns
in the fall, while Pharrell Williams is reportedly being replaced by
Alicia Keys.
'It's true!': Miley Cyrus, 23, announced she's landed the new gig of judge that the departing Gwen Stefani recently left vacant
Miley, 23, took to Twitter to confirm the news to the world with a simple, excited statement.
'It's true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice,' she wrote.
Quite a bump up: The controversial
singer and actress was already on board on The Voice as a key advisor
but just got promoted to the judges panel
In
another post, the singer, fresh off her new judge announcement, shared a
side-by-side shot of herself on set of the Voice, as well on-location
for an untitled TV project.
On
the left side of the snap, Miley, wearing a poncho, is seen being
touched up by a set assistant, while director Woody Allen is giving her
direction.
'Find you a girl that can do BOTH! #woodyallen #thevoice @nbcthevoice,' she wrote.
'Trump can't stop
won't stop!': Earlier on Friday, the singer had some choice words for
presidential hopeful Donald Trump after he compared his wife Melania
(right) to Ted Cruz's wife Heidi
While the Party in the U.S.A. singer is basking in her new gig, she might not be the only one with good news.
It's being reported that Alicia Keys, 35, will join the male-dominated judging panel.
According to The Wrap,
the Grammy-winning singer is set to take Pharrell's spot, making for an
even amount of male and females for the first time in Voice history.
Miley,
meanwhile, showed her testy side too when she posted an Instagram
criticising Donald Trump for comparing his gorgeous wife Melania to Ted
Cruz's wife Heidi.
The
singer wrote: 'Trump can't stop won't stop saying stupid a*s sexist
s**t!!!! Comparing two women! Are you f***ing kidding! We will not allow
you to destroy everything we have overcome as women!...'
Making history: It's being reported
