Mariah arrives at her after party – but not for long

The may have been the guest of honour at her own official afterparty, but that didn’t stop Mariah Carey leaving after a mere four minutes.
That’s 240 seconds.

The American super diva, who turns 46 on Sunday, performed her first London concert in 13 years on Wednesday night at the capital’s 02 arena - where she zipped up the Thames via boat. Natch.
While Mimi was only 15 minutes late on stage, an improvement on her 45 minute delays last week, she was clearly tired afterwards as could only manage a blink-or-you’ll-miss-her appearance at her VIP bash held at 02’s swanky Nylon bar.

Having changed into stunning red one-shouldered gown, with a superhero cape - befitting of MC - the mum-of-twins swept in just after midnight in a flurry of flashbulbs - as partygoers clambered to try and get a selfie with her.

Buffered by at least 10 burly bodyguards and followed by film-crew capturing the fever-pitch scenes for a documentary she’s making all about The Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, she circled the venue - all smiles and royal waves - and posed for photographers to receive an official plaque for performing at the 02 and then wafted out the front door.

3am spotted her cluster of aides huddled to one side - one carrying her gigantic white fur coat (rumoured to be worth a cool £10,000) and another keeping guard of her designer red handbag.
Guests, who included party girls Laura Whitmore, 30, and Daisy Lowe, 27, danced to a Mariah-heavy R’n’B playlist.

They sipped on unlimited Rock Angel Rose wine which had been shipped in especially for the event and prosecco and nibbled on smoked salmon bites and arancini balls.
Earlier in the eve MC giggled on stage: “I can be a little difficult. Or so they say.”
