Manchester United's injury crisis has worsened after captain Wayne Rooney suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury, according to the Mirror.
The 30-year-old could now be set to be sidelined for a further month after scans revealed the England international's right knee had not healed as quickly as the United medical staff expected.
Rooney injured himself in the 2-1 defeat at Sunderland on February 13 and had been scheduled to return for the Red Devils against former club Everton on April 4.
