Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has pleaded with women to empower one another rather than fight.

The X Factor star has been the victim of online abuse since she went public with Liam Payne and appears to be going for the killing with kindness route from her latest Instagram snap as she hit out at the haters.
Posting a picture which read: "Girls compete with each other, Women empower one another," the X Factor star wrote: "It can be so hard at times being a girl, for sooo many reasons! But we don't have to make it harder for each other.. Why do we still feel the need to do that ?? I don't understand it."

She continued: "I have always been a Girls girl, and love other strong women. That is why I surround myself with them, and that is why I try to empower others. Trying to pull another person down, only speaks volumes about your character.! And not a thing about theirs.. There's nothing more powerful or beautiful than an inspiring, strong women that you can look up to or turn to... Be one!!!"

It comes after another drama-filled week for 'Chiam', who enjoyed a very public date this week in London.
Joined by Cheryl's mum Joan, the duo hit Salmontini le Resto on Wednesday evening in matching black outfits and looked smitten as they left hand-in-hand.

It comes after Liam called Cheryl his "favourite woman in the world" while making International Women's Day.

The 1D singer star shared an old photo of the X Factor judge on Instagram, alongside a romantic message - admitting: "Hope I make you as happy as u make me."

The photo, taken a while ago, shows Cheryl smiling at the camera in a natural shot, wrapped up in a thick red jumper.

Liam wrote: "Happy#internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world hope I make you as happy as u make me X."
It must be love.
