She is a native Los Angeleno who was not prepared for the Big Apple's freezing temperatures.
So
Willow Smith did her best to keep warm wearing three layers of jackets
while exploring New York's St. Mark's Place district on Saturday.
The 14-year-old made a sensible choice to swap her shoes for thermal boots on a shopping trip with a female companion.

The daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett had on a black hoodie, purple jacket and a brown and blue striped poncho.
She finished off the look with black leggings, tie dye scrunch socks and a neon green book bag.
Her cropped locks with bleached tips were covered by all three hoods from her coats.
Willow was joined by a friend who appeared to be older.

The
Whip My Hair singer likely made the footwear purchase from punk rock
retailer Trash and Vaudeville, where she was seen in the shoes as she
exited the landmark shop that has been frequented by Debbie Harry and
other stars since it opened in the 1970s.
The
girls then made their way to another store where Willow remained
outside and waited for her friend who entered the establishment.
The
companion was seen glancing over a haul of colorful and ornate smoking
pipes, even admiring one in her hand before making her purchase - which
was placed in a black bag.

St.
Mark's Place began as an upscale neighborhood lined with mansions in
the 1820s and 1830s, but it has evolved over the years, earning the
title 'Bong Capital Of The World' by the New York Times in 2011 .
The reference is to the East Village hot spot's many smoke shops that carry drug paraphernalia and marijuana smoking pipes.
Earlier
this week Willow ignited a firestorm of controversy after posing in a
provocative graphic-print top that featured an illustration of a nude
female's body.
The teen shared the photo on her Instagram page, writing two simple hashtags: '#Vfiles #willowsmith'.
