She may be a
 big fan of showing off her body, but Kim Kardashian toned it down for a
 change at the BET Honors in Washington DC on Saturday.
The
 reality star, who recently posed nude for Paper magazine in a bid to 
'break the internet', kept her curves under wraps in a demure gown.
She
 was there to support husband Kanye West as he was bestowed with the 
Visionary Award - formerly awarded to late greats Maya Angelou and 
Whitney Houston.

 perhaps the Yeezus rapper chose both his and wife Kim's outfits as the 
married couple were coordinated in all black Balmain ensembles for his 
big night. 
Kim,
 who was perhaps letting her husband take the spotlight for a change, 
wore a textured floor-length gown with long sleeves and a high neck.
The
 only flesh on show coming in the form of cut-out sections on the sides,
 and the 34-year-old's waist trainer appeared to be doing its trick as 
her narrow torso was cinched in.

black silk lapel jacket with buttoned down dress shirt and fitted

The 37-year-old completed his sleek look with matching dress shoes as he sported his signature straight face.

Kanye
 was one of five distinguished African American luminaries celebrated 
for their exceptional achievements in the areas of art, music, theater, 
technology and business at the gala.
BET
 Honors released a statement about Kanye's award writing: 'His dynamic 
and prominent voice in hip-hop has earned him recognition as a highly 
regarded creative.' 
In
 addition to the multihyphenate artist receiving the Visionary Award, 
eight-time Grammy winner Usher was given the Musical Arts Award for his 
two-decade career as a singer/songwriter.
While
 Cosby Show actress Phylicia Rashad was awarded the Theatrical Arts 
Award for her enduring impact on Broadway and regional theater.

The BET Honors, hosted by comedian Wayne Brady, was taped on Saturday and will broadcast on the network on February 23.
