Extraordinary moment Australian woman delivered her own twins during caesarean section

0

She's the Australian woman who delivered her own twins by Caesarean section. Three days before Christmas, Gerri Wolfe, 41, delivered her 10th and 11th children, Matilda and Violet, in a very unusual procedure at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales. Going against the advice of her doctors, Mrs Wolffe was determined not to repeat the 'very sterile, very impersonal' experience of Caesarean births of four of her other children. She chose an unusual process called a maternal assissted Caesarean that follows the normal surgical procedure until the point when the baby is removed, when the mother reaches down and pulls the baby from her own body. 'It's my body, it's my birth, it's my baby,' Mrs Wolffe told Daily Mail Australia.
