She won
over the fashion pack during awards season with a number of stylish
sartorial displays, not to mention taking home an Oscar.
And
Lupita Nyong'o proved at the Bally London flagship store opening on
Wednesday evening that her sense of style hasn't deserted her months
later.
The
31-year-old actress was stunning in a pale pink skirt and matching
shoes, orange top and burgundy coat as she chatted with 12 Years A Slave
co-star Benedict Cumberbatch at the bash.
Co-star catch-up: Lupita Nyong'o and
Benedict Cumberbatch enjoyed a catch up at the Bally store opening in
London on Wednesday night
While
she may have looked stunning, Lupita has previously opened up about the
perils of navigating the daunting award show circuit and the fashion
judgement that comes with it.
'Nothing
can prepare you for awards season. The red carpet feels like a war
zone, except you cannot fly or fight; you just have to stand there and
take it,' she told US Vogue.
But
that hasn't stopped her winning plaudits and even landing a lucrative
endorsement deal by being named brand ambassador for Lancome.
Thrilled: It was hard to tell who looked happier about the catch up, Benedict or Lupita, as they spotted each other
Style star:
Clearly Lupita's winning style on the awards season red carpets was not
a fluke and the starlet looked stunning in London
Co-stars: Lupita and Benedict both starred in Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave
The Kenyan born star showcases the power of the Teint Idole foundation by displaying a flawless and radiant glow in the new ad.
The
French beauty giant handpicked the actress and said in a statement at
the time: 'Her instinctive and sophisticated talent and one of a kind
beauty, both delicate and strength-exuding, has taken the world by
storm.'
After
winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Steve
McQueen's 12 Years A Slave, Lupita was added to the cast of the upcoming
Star Wars sequel.
