Jose Mourinho: Attends a UEFA coaching seminar in NyonTorres, 30, arrived at Stamford Bridge from Liverpool in a £50m switch back in 2011, but failed to reproduce his best form in a Chelsea shirt and was allowed to leave in the wake of the signing of Spain hitman Diego Costa.
Speaking at a UEFA coaching seminar in Nyon, Mourinho said: "I'm an Interista and I would have preferred if he'd gone to Inter.
"However, I hope that he does equally well at Milan. What I can say about Fernando is that as a person and a professional, there is nothing to doubt about him.
"He's a fantastic boy and a great professional. However, he needed a change of scenery."
Mourinho added veteran striker Didier Drogba and former QPR striker Loic Remy to his striking options ahead of the transfer deadline.
