Mario Balotelli is trying really hard to make Liverpool fans like him

Mario Balotelli has had the Liverbird shaved into his head with this new rather fetching haircut and oh my god yes this is an article on a football website about someone I don’t know getting a haircut.
In a world where someone performing a routine task like getting a haircut is regarded as news, it’s important to question the motivation behind such a drastic change in appearance and the posting of this change on Instagram.

You see, ever since signing for Liverpool, Mario has been using social media to get Liverpool fans onside with him as soon as possible, because he’s so mature now.
This marketing strategy nonsense began as soon as Balotelli actually signed for the club in August and despite having had absolutely no association with the club at all, ever, and being a life long AC Milan fan, tweeted things like:

Serial face toucher, Brendan Rodgers, admitted that a lot of baggage came with the signing and it looks an awful lot like someone has told Mario to do lots of “I <3 Liverpool” Instagram posts to make all of the Liverpool fans believe he is true red 4eva. Which of course he is, because he’s more or less said it on Twitter already. And Twitter is legally binding so…
