Maybe it might not be all over for Nicki Minaj fans that are sad over the cancellation of the TribeOne festival as City of Tshwane is planning a lawsuit to force continuation of the event.
This comes after event organisers of the TribeOne festival, Rockstar 4000, cancelled a three-day event that could have seen the female star rapper Nicki Minaj perform on African soil for the first time.
Rockstar 4000 issued out a media statement saying that City of Tshwane, who were to host the event in Cullinan, had not met their deadline and would not be finished renovating the venue in time for the event which was scheduled to take place on 27 September 2014.
City of Tshwane have however not taken the cancellation lightly, they are planning a legal battle to force for the TribeOne festival to continue.
According to Channel24, City of Tshwane is going the legal route because they believe they have met all their deadlines and have “provided the necessary infrastructure to the open space where the festival is supposed to take place”.
Leader of Rockstar 4000, Sony Music Entertainment Africa said they could not comment as “"this matter is currently the subject of legal proceedings".
