In the recording, Will's 13-year-old daughter Willow is given the honour of dousing him with a bucket of freezing cold ice water in front of what appears to be the family's beautiful backyard.

The former Fresh Prince Of Bel Air star begins the video standing amongst the luscious green scenery, stating 'I ain't no punk', as he begins to anticipate the cold shower he is about to receive.

Will, showing off his muscular physique in a fitted black tank top, introduces his 'lovely assistant', daughter Willow, while lifting up the heavy container of water and ice to her.

Before he gets soaked he makes sure to nominate hip hop royalty, rapper Jay Z and wife Beyonce, to next complete the challenge and warns his daughter to not 'slam [the bucket] on my head'.

The Whip My Hair hitmaker then lifts the chilly liquid above her dad's head and pours it across his shoulders before the actor ducks out of the way of the remaining water.

Will yells out, 'That's really... that's really cold!', as the water makes contact but then takes a moment to show appreciation for Willow's help as he adds: 'Thank you, sweetie'.

When Willow isn't helping her dad with his ice water challenge, she has spent much of her summer on the east coast with her BFF Kylie Jenner, who has been in New York to star in her sisters' spinoff show Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons.

Will's wife Jada, who appears to have shot the video and is heard laughing in the background, joined Willow in New York while filming new show Gotham.

Meanwhile, Will had previously been on holiday with pals in the islands of Spain, formerly spotted in Ibiza and then in Formentera.

Will and Jada also have a son Jaden, 15, who didn't appear in the video and the actor has another son, Trey, 21, from a previous relationship.

The challenge raises awareness and funds for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Busy family: In July the I Am Legend actor, seen with wife Jada at the Academy Awards in March 2, had been on holiday with pals in the islands of Spain, while the actress and daughter Willow spent the summer in New York
