It looks as though Beyonce may have a bit of competition on her hands.
While
she and Lady Gaga may be long-time friends, it seems the Crazy In Love
singer, who dubs herself Queen Bey, isn't the only pop star who sees
herself as royalty.
On Sunday night, Lady Gaga actually stepped out in Australia proudly wearing a glittering tiara on her head.
Royal accessories: Lady Gaga looked like she was delighted to be able to complete her outfit with a tiara fit for a queen
The Paparazzi singer was Down Under to perform the Melbourne stint of her artRAVE: the ARTPOP tour.
Following her final bow on stage, the 28-year-old casually slipped the crown onto head as she made her way back to her hotel.
Whether
or not she was deliberately trying to send out a message to fans about
her royal status in the pop world, the singer certainly had people
talking.
But Queen Bey, who collaborated with Lady Gaga on Telephone, probably won't be quaking in her boots just yet.
Rocking
her crown with a black septum ring and a pair of John Lennon-inspired
sunglasses, Lady Gaga didn't seem to quite nail the royal look.
With
her long black locks untidily worn down past her shoulders, the singer
looked more like Ozzy Osbourne than the Duchess of Cambridge.
Thigh's the
limit: The eccentric star proudly shows off the entirety of her
perfectly toned legs in this daring sheer black frock
She teamed her headpiece with a bizarre Gothic corset dress, which was sheer from the hips down.
Although
it did the job of successfully showcasing her gorgeous legs, the singer
came close to an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction as she stepped into
her car.
To
complete the royal-meets-ageing-rocker look, Lady Gaga wore a fuchsia
pink blazer and a pair of smart black heels - which no doubt would have
both looked gorgeous if they had been teamed with a different outfit.
Impressed? Lady Gaga took to her Instagram earlier on in the day to show off her sparkling head piece with her loyal followers
Lady Gaga's current tour, which kicked off in May, was launched to support her third studio album Artpop.
The set list includes tracks from her latest album, Venus And Manicure, Artpop and G.U.Y.
The
two hour long show features an igloo and ice landscape, as well as
heart-shaped confetti, glitter, rave-style lights and pumping music.
There
are also giant cartoon flowers and the singer hits the stage in an
array of outlandish outfits which featuring everything from a seashell
bikini to a latex tentacle costume.
