YAYA TOURE’S unhappiness with Manchester City stems
from being left out of a raft of contract extensions handed out by the
Premier League champions.
The Ivory Coast midfielder’s camp feel he should be treated in a similar way to fellow key players Sergio Aguero and David Silva.
Both are being offered new deals – as are striker Edin Dzeko, central defender Vincent Kompany, left-back Aleksandar Kolarov, keeper Joe Hart and midfield duo Samir Nasri and James Milner.
Hitman Aguero and playmaker Silva signed new deals only last summer – as did Toure. But no contract has been put to the African powerhouse who scored 24 goals last season.
However, despite his tantrum after failing to receive a Bugatti for his birthday from the club, City are comfortable with his arrangement – particularly as he is 31.
His current £200,000-a-week deal runs until 2017 but he feels he should be rewarded with a new contract offer.
