Madonna puts her new skincare product - Clay Mask from MDNA - to the test on Instagram on Tuesday

At 55-years-old, Madonna is still one of pop music's most provocative performers and shows no signs of slowing down.

So it seems only natural that the Material Girl has brought out her own range of skincare, in a bid to stay looking young.

However, the Hung Up singer decided to put her new product to the test on Instagram, the photo-sharing network that is known for its use of soft-filtering on images.

'Trying out the new Clay Mask from MDNA skin care line! Lets see if it works! #livingforlove' Madonna wrote, alongside a photo of herself covered in the product.

Madonna then posted a picture of the product - a Chrome Clay Mask - with the brand 'MDNA' sprawled across it.

'Lovely and glowing! Yaaaasssssss it werks!' and excited Madonna wrote after posting a picture of the end result.

While Madonna certainly looked flawless, there appeared to be a questionable soft-focus to the image, that is known to be used by Instagram users.

Often, users add the hash tag 'no filter' to photos that have not been modified, while Madonna simply hash tagged the title of her rumoured next album 'Unapologetic B****'.

Madge first revealed her skin care line in May this year.

In an advert for the product, she revealed: 'Having good skin is important to me... but so are other things.

'Creation, your body smells of honey from the comb. Essence, your amber silken skin smells of your mind.

'And alchemy. I've spent hours on it, months on it, years on it.'

Madonna's three-product skincare line is currently only available in Japan and consists of a Chrome Clay Mask, Skin Rejuvinator, and Serum.
