with a white neck ruff giving her the regal look of Cate Blanchett as
Queen Elizabeth I in the 2007 film Elizabeth: The Golden Age as she left her apartment building in New York on Wednesda
Of course, the 28-year-old is unlikely to dethrone the acknowledged Queen Of Pop Madonna any time soon.
Surprisingly restrained: Aside from the bizarre
hair piece and choice of neck-wear, the 28-year-old's ensemble was far
less over the top than many of her other outfits
And, aside from the wig and ruff, the singer, well known for her bizarre, eye-catching ensembles, looked relatively demure.
She donned a knee-length, double breasted black
jacket with gold buttons, black fishnet tights and black court shoes with two-inch heels, low for Gaga.
And
her make-up was also restrained with just some black eyeliner, a little
rouge to give her pale complexion some colour and light pink lipstick.
The singing superstar carried her adorable French bulldog Asia who is, of course, black, perfectly matching her outfit.

The Applause hitmaker, real name Stefani Germanotta, adopted the pup in March.
She did her best impression of Cher earlier when she stepped out in the oversized curly wig in early June.
And she was spotted in a slightly shorter version a few days later as
she headed to a recording studio in New York, cradling Asia.

G.U.Y. singer is currently on a break from her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball
tour, which wrapped up a show in San Jose, California in late May.
Lady Gaga then enjoyed a few days at San Diego's vintage Hotel del Coronado with friends.
The Versace model's next show is scheduled for June 26 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
