Torres has struggled since his British record £50m transfer on the final day of the 2011 January transfer window, scoring just 45 goals in 172 appearances, and with compatriot Costa set to move to Stamford Bridge, it looks as though his days at the club are numbered.
"I think he knows that his future at Stamford Bridge is all but over," Lewis told the Transfer Tavern.
"The likes of Inter Milan have taken a look at him, as have Atletico Madrid."
"[A return to Atletico] would be a wonderful homecoming for him and it may well be that he will feed off the confidence and love from the club that didn't want lose him in the first place."
"As far as Torres is concerned, I don't expect to see him in a Chelsea shirt next season. I think he'll go elsewhere and I think he'll take a pay cut to do so."
