Dangote To Invest $9 Billion In Lekki Free Trade Zone

Africa's richest man, Aliko DangoteAfrica’s richest man, Aliko Dangote will invest $9 Billion (N1.5 trillion) to establish the Dangote Refineries and Petrochemical Company at the Lekki Free Trade Zone, (LFTZ) in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Billionaire told reporters that the  Lekki Free Trade Zone is certainly going to be the biggest zone in Africa.  “Looking at what the Governor has done by bringing this here, I can assure you that this is going to be the biggest free trade zone in the African Continent and I know that the people will begin to show their appreciation,” he said.

He reiterated that the Zone holds enormous economic benefits for Lagos State and the country.

“For instance, there is no way we can put down over nine billion Dollars ($9 billion) of our money here without making sure that the zone is going to work”, adding that his Group would move quickly to ensure the timely completion of the project.

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola led Aliko Dangote to the Lekki Free Trade Zone for the take off ceremony last Sunday.
