On Saturday night Coleen Rooney and her WAG pals helped celebrate Julie Perry's birthday at Elixir in Manchester.

According to the Manchester Evening News Julie 'plans the parties and weddings of the rich and famous, but at the weekend it was time to celebrate her special birthday'.

Holding her trusty YSL clutch, Coleen wore a pale blue frilled shirt and figure-hugging black pencil skirt with peek-a-boo netting lower down as she arrived for the bash in the city centre with her present ready to hand over.

Julie organised the wedding of Coleen to Manchester United star Wayne Rooney in 2008 in Italy and the paper says that they have remained close friends ever since.

Others attending the birthday blow-out were United WAGs Kaya Hall, the partner of Phil Jones, and Laura Christ, the girlfriend of Alexander Buttner.

Dani Lawrence was there with her Liverpool goalie partner Brad JOnes, while WAG Jude Cisse went into the party with former Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon.

Other celebrity names who attended included celebrity stylists Lorraine McCulloch and Armand Beasley, plus fashon designers Tony Burke Armstrong and Philip Armstrong.

As a busy mother of a two bustling boys, there's no doubt that Coleen Rooney's always on guard.

And the 27-year-old WAG was left a little frazzled last month as her eldest son, Kai, four, did a disappearing act after attending a family lunch in Mossley Hill, Liverpool.

Shouting after her adorable tearaway tot, the star was left holding Kai's bright blue coat and designer trainers as he bolted off down the street.

Luckily, calm appeared to have been restored in no time, with Coleen looking much more in control of the situation as she eventually caught up with her energetic son.

The WAG - who is married to Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney - was joining her family for a meal in celebration of what would have been her late sister Rosie's 16th birthday. The youngster tragically passed away in January 2013 at the age of 14 after battling the genetic disorder Rett Syndrome for all of her short life.

Paying tribute to her sibling's special day on Sunday, Coleen wrote on her Twitter page: 'Happy 16th birthday to our Angel Rosie. Love you xx.'

Coleen opted for a practical ensemble for her family outing, wrapping up against the chilly winter weather in Liverpool in a stylish charcoal grey fur-lined padded coat.

Rocking an edgy look in black platform high-top trainers, the star wore a red printed silk top and black skinny jeans, while toting her belongings in a black leather oversized handbag.

Wearing her long brunette locks pulled back from her face into a high ponytail, Coleen kept her look simple with minimal make-up and accessorised with delicate diamond stud earrings.

The McLoughlin family said goodbye to little Rosie just over a year ago, and said in a statement at the time: 'We are heartbroken, but we are blessed to have had her in our lives.

'We shall cherish for ever the memories we have shared and the love she showed us each and every day.'

In addition to son Kai, Coleen raises baby Klay with husband Wayne.
