Wayne Rooney has pleaded with Manchester United supporters to show patience as the club endures an alarming run of poor form.
The Red Devils have lost all three games they have played in 2014,
including home Premier League defeats to Tottenham and Swansea City as
well a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland in the first leg of their Capital One
Cup semi-final.Rooney has been sidelined with a groin injury since New Year's Day, but has urged fans to continue supporting the team - while vowing that they will 'get better'.

'We need them to support us through this time. We will get stronger and we will get better. The fans are vital in being patient with us and letting us try to get there. I am sure we will do.'

'Danny’s been great,' he added.
'He’s been working really hard and he’s played a few games up top now and scored some vital goals for us. He’s been brilliant, especially when we’ve had a few injuries and he’s come in and helped the team.'
