Sandra Bullock's unflattering color block Prabal Gurung did not do much for her figure

The usually fashion-forward Sandra Bullock made a rare fashion misstep at this year's Golden Globes in an unflattering pink, blue and black color block gown and messy side ponytail, leading the worst-dressed ladies of the night.
The Gravity actress, 49, was swamped by the V-neck pre-Fall 2014 Prabal Gurung gown, which had a loose, awkward fit that did not do much for her fabulous figure.
But Ms Bullock was by no means the only fashion offender of the night; Paula Patton, Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lawrence also turned heads for all the wrong reasons.

Zoe Saldana
With pink shoulder straps, a sheer asymmetric hem and scattered embellishments, Zoe Saldana's  Prabal Gurung look was just too busy
Kaley Cuoco
Newlywed Kaley Cuoco's glamorous make-up and hair were the perfect red carpet look, but her floral Rani Zakhem gown resembled a curtain

Berenice Bejo's bold red Giambattista Valli gown complemented her pretty lipstick, but the hip ruffles and blazer-style collar were all wrong

Ms Patton's stunning figure was draped in a tight white gown with a very large and ruffly embellishment running from the shoulder all the way down to the hem.
Robin Thicke's wife of nine years may have exuded confidence in the over-the-top look, but Golden Globes viewers begged to differ with her gown choice.

Indeed, one concerned Twitter user wrote: 'Quick! Someone help Paula Patton. Her dress is eating her alive,' while others compared the ensemble to 'a crumpled up piece of paper' and 'a tiered wedding cake'.
It seemed as if Julia Roberts confused two sartorial genres when she chose a black floor-length gown Dolce and Gabbana gown with three-quarter length white sleeves and a white collar.

Is it a dress? Emma Watson's open back Dior ensemble, which looked like a gown from the front but revealed black pants at the back, resembled a glorified hospital gown

The button-down shirt aspect of the look combined with the strapless black dress made her look more like a waitress than an A-lister on the red carpet.
Paula Patton wasn't the only celebrity to let her elaborate white dress wear her rather than the other way around.
Red carpet darling Jennifer Lawrence suffered a rare fashion blunder in a white poufy gown reminiscent of Little Bo Peep.
The American Hustle actress, 23, was utterly swamped in the unflattering white Dior dress, which was cinched awkwardly at the waist and below the hips with black bands.
Aside from her dress, though, the star looked stunning in dramatic dark lipstick and black eyeliner, her hair in a sleek side-swept style. The Best Supporting Actress winner accessorized her look with a black clutch and bejeweled bracelets.

Emma Watson's hair and make-up were flawless, but her dress that doubled as pants had some Golden Globes viewers confused. The short-sleeved Dior ensemble was tied at the waist and open at the back, revealing an unexpected pair of black trousers underneath.
Girls star Jemima Kirke channeled her character Jessa in a bohemian-style V-neck gown, her hair styled in stunning sweeping waves that fell to the side. But the ensemble's drab blue, beige and yellow tones failed to impress on the red carpet.
The actress's co-star Lena Dunham also made the worst-dressed list for her eye-catching yellow Zac Posen gown. Not only was the canary yellow too bright for her light skin tone, but it also clashed with her dark red lipstick.
And Heidi Klum chose a stunning and romantic black and white floral Marchesa gown for her red carpet look, but she managed to upstage the floaty dress with a harsh black choker necklace that detracted from the glamor.
