The 28-year-old Ivory Coast man is currently at Lille, who would likely let him go for a fee of £2.5million.
Salomon Kalou is eyeing a January return to the Premier League.
Former Chelsea forward Kalou, 28, is at Lille but has already had interest from Liverpool and Tottenham while Arsenal have been sounded out.
Roma and Besiktas have also been on the Ivory Coast international but his preferred destination is England.
Lille are likely to allow him to go for around £2.5million.
